SUMMARY:ACROSS Lexington\, Route F
DESCRIPTION:Route F connects the ACROSS Lexington trail system with the Western Greenway and the\nBattle Road Trail. This walk will begin at that juncture and will take us to neighborhoods inside\nRoute 128 in the western part of Lexington. From there\, the route runs through the Freemont\nStreet play area\, past the Pine Meadows Golf Club and into Meagherville. If time allows\, we\nwill access the further portions of Meagherville before returning to our starting point. Total\ndistance will be about 3.5 miles. We will try and relocate a large boulder bearing a line of stone chisel marks left by an\nearly Lexington resident who evidently had designs on using the top for perhaps a front stoop.\nWalking sticks recommended if conditions are icy under foot.
