It goes through residential streets\, and several conservation areas and includes a new path through Bowman Park. The walk is not suitable for walkers\, strollers or baby carriages. We’ll share observations and insights of AGM’s natural communities\, a changing mixture of native and introduced organisms\, with a focus on taking a closer look at wildflowers and insects.  \nWear long pants and have bug repellent in reserve\, bring magnifiers if you have them. \nMeet at the end of Emerson Gardens Rd. off Maple St. in Lexington.  \nPublic parking is available just past the entrance to Lexington Meadow townhomes. We will go through three conservation areas: Cataldo Reservation\, Arlington’s Great Meadows\, and Liberty Heights. DESCRIPTION:Lexington’s urban forest is made up of all the trees in yards\, in parks\, and along streets across the\ntown. Trees improve our lives by making Lexington a cooler\, cleaner\, more beautiful place to live. But\ntrees require care from the people and Town of Lexington to stay healthy and strong. \nThe Town of Lexington is developing an Urban Forest Master Plan to set a vision for the future of its\nurban forestry program.  A presentation about the Urban Forest Master Plan will be accompanied with activities and prompts to provide input\, and will be followed by an “Ask an Arborist” Q&A session. \nThe presentation will be hybrid and interactive\, where those in attendance will be able to suggest ideas and provide feedback about their experiences with trees in Lexington. \nSnacks and light refreshments will be provided. \nInformation on how to join virtually can be found on the Lexington Urban Forestry Master Plan website.  \n
